Catastrophe in Space!

There were twins named Adam and Hamzah. They were like friends that would never leave ones side and acted like normal twins. They had a pet dog called Max! They heard a rustle and then a bang!! “Adam, can you get the post for me please!” pleaded Hamzah. Adam replied by saying OK and gave the letters to him.

” It looks like there’s only one letter!!!” Adam said as he gave the post. He suggested seeing what it was. Hamzah cautiously unsealed the letter and pulled out a reflective golden sheet! It said that they were invited on a trip to space, to go to a space hotel on Mars for free! They immediately got up and packed their luggage and set off with their dog to the one and only… NASA headquarters!!

The trek to the space station took an hour. They got out of the minicab and gazed at the gleaming building which shimmered like a diamond. ” This is the most incredible scenery I’ve ever set my eyes on!” exclaimed Hamzah. Adam suggested to go to the loo before going onto their fascinating expedition, incase someone has an accident, especially for the dog!

As soon as they came in, they were already in the ticket hall! They met a manager called Daniel who showed them to their rocket. On the side of the rocket in thick bold black, it said ‘TurboAlpha2.0’! The latest rocket ever made. They stepped in; a millisecond later they blasted off into space.

On the dashboard, it showed the distance from where they were to Mars. There was a tablet embedded on the control centre and showed a cartoon; in a 3rd person perspective, of their rocket and surroundings. “WOAH!” Adam said in fascination. ” I’ve already seen this is VR; in real life, it’s so much cooler!” said Adam.

” Hey, why don’t you come and look at this incredible scenery instead of eating! We came here to see stuff we’ve never seen before.” snapped Adam. Hamzah groaned and trotted to the circular window. Already, he was impressed. His twin brother was right, it really was amazing! Hamzah then went to the control centre.

“Ummmm. I think we’re going further and further away from Mars!” cried Hamzah.

” Yes, your right, we’re being surrounded by a swarm of asteroids! AND WHAT IN THE NAME OF FLUFFY UNICORNS IS THAT!“. It was a black hole! Will they survive the menacing time warp?…

” Give me the headsets, gimme!!” Hamzah squealed. Max made a whimpering sound like a baby rabbit. His paws covered his eyes. His ears were drooping down.

Adam muttered under his breath, “I forgot to get them off from the manager!”. Adam and Hamzah literally put the whole rocket upside down! Adam saw a gap in the wall. It was shaped like a rectangle with its corner’s curved. He kicked it, annoyed he couldn’t find anything; but it came off! Inside was a guide for the rocket. Adam flicked through the pages until he reached a page called ‘THE TURBO JETS’. He read the bits that he needed. ” Found it!!! Well… It’s not he headsets, they are these turbojets thingamajigs!” announced Adam in triumph. Hamzah (who misheard what Adam had just stated) was still looking for the headsets. Whilst he was looking, he saw Max under the sofa, still whimpering; his eyes and nose popping out to wait for the calamity to end! Meanwhile, Adam smacked down all the necessary buttons it said to push on the manual on the control centre. They were up next to be sucked into the black hole, and that was any minute now. The symbol came up on the screen and Adam slammed his fist on ‘ENGAGE’! In a matter of seconds, they crash-landed into Mars; they were close enough to the Space Inn.

” I SAVED OUR LIVES!!” said Adam, feeling really passionate.

” I helped too though.” moaned Hamzah. Max barked in agreement.

“We saved each other!” said Adam with diplomacy…
